Ik kreeg onlangs van een collega de tip om TV series op 66 Stage te kijken in plaats van te wachten tot een serie op TV wordt uitgezonden / herhaald.

Nu is mijn Engels best ok, maar ondertitels erbij is wel fijn.

De Divx web-player ondersteund wel subtitles, maar alleen als ze bij de stream zitten. Dat komt helaas niet vaak voor. Ik was op zoek naar een manier om ondertitels die ik op http://www.divxsubtitles.net/ vind te koppelen aan 66Stage.com.

Somehow someone who upped the LOST S04 eps thought it would be handy if they were in WMV format instead of AVI with SRT subs.

Unfortunately I'm using Media Portal and they didn't play at first. Later on, after I switched the H.264 decoder from ffdshow MPEG4 to ffdshow VFW, they played. But didn't play well. The center / voice sound volume was to low. You couldn't hear a thing.

The funny thing is it played, after it fetched the codec, just fine in WMP?

After some googling I found out others we're having the same problem. But an exact answer I couldn't find.

On my server I've created a cron job which puts large MySQL backup files in a backup directory. Most backups are small enough so they can be sent to my gMail account, but one of them is unfortunately over 20MB and cannot be sent/received. I've created a little shell script which starts when I boot into Ubuntu and mgets the appropriate files.

Het is me uiteindelijk gelukt een werkende MediaPortal omgeving te maken op mijn MSI MEGA 180 barebone, inclusief de afstandsbediening die bij de MEGA180 zit.

Voor de MEGA180 heb ik mijn eigen driver pack samengesteld. De basis is een recente nForce driverpack van Nvidia zelf. Hierin heb ik de HD driver (DMA) vervangen door de driver die bij de MEGA180 wordt geleverd. De drivers van Nvidia maken de schijf corrupt.

Om de afstandsbediening te kunnen gebruiken maak ik gebruik van Girder 3.29 (de laatste gratis versie) en Nathan's MSI MEGA Girder plugin.
